Still Learning

These are photos of a good friend of mine and her family. It was my first attempt at a photo shoot outside of my family, and I had a great time!

The beginning...

In October 2007 I got my fabulous Digital Canon Rebel and since then I have been learning a ton about how to take photos. I don't claim to be a pro, I just know that I enjoy taking pictures and if I can help others enjoy the moments life gives us - then I've done my job.

These are photos of my sister's children. This was my first attempt at a photo shoot, and we had a blast. I learned several things at this one. First, make sure your camera settings are correct - white balance, ISO. Second, make sure you don't have weird patches of light shining on faces. Third, take a ton of pictures. That's the advantage to digital, you can snap 20 pictures to get one good one, and you aren't wasting film. I also think it's easier to capture the "un-posed" moments.

This is one of my favorite photos of my daughter. She was so happy to be with her cousins, and of course - I think she's the cutest little girl ever!
Looking forward to learning more!
